An Update to Sterilization Instructions During COVID-19

Proper care and cleaning of medical equipment is always important. That’s why ADC’s Instructions for Use (IFUs) include detailed information on how to clean and disinfect – and sterilize, where appropriate – the products we manufacture.
 
Some products, such as single-patient instruments, are considered disposable and are simply not designed for extended use. That said, we recognize that in extraordinary circumstances like these, reprocessing of single-use devices may be necessary. So we worked with Steris to review several ADC product categories for sterilization compatibility. Results from this testing are provided below. Please note that while disposable equipment might survive one or two disinfection or sterilization cycles, they aren’t likely to withstand more than that.
 
The table below also includes Steris guidelines for ADC instruments that are built for sterilization. The information is provided as an adjunct to any existing cleaning instructions provided in each product’s IFU. If you do not have the IFU that came with your instrument, PDF copies are available on our web site, both on individual product pages and through our download library at www.adctoday.com/care.
